This picture is for our Weblog a “PRIMEUR”, with thanks to our member George Crook, who’s son did send it to his Dad. It is from a Chinese Newspaper(title not know) but I am sure they forgive us the publication as it is good PR for the industry.
Very good Video clip. Do go to You Tube and enter Look at Life Taxi! Taxi!! 1960. (copy&paste)
An amazing good report on London life with cabs at work in the 1960′s. If you like the London taxi models and London taxi history, this is a must to watch.
This article came to light due to our member Karsten Quaschnig at Cologne, Germany. It shows his FX3 and a FX4 owned by our member Andreas Hagemeijer.
It is a very good article. Thank you Karsten for doing what you did to make this possible.
Karsten and Andreas are regular visitors of our Waalwijk Event in June each year and we hope to welcome them with the cabs again this year! No doubt Kartsen will bring a copy of the mag along.
I posted the cover of the magazine, in case any (German) readers want to order it. It also consists of good pictures.
Pictures by courtesy of our member and rally driver Frits Veringmeijer. The story why he was “en route” is reported on in the next Vintage Taxi issue.
In London I was given these pictures, published by Taxi of the LTDA, see www.ltda.co.uk, No.274, p. 24 and 25 and www.taxiglobe.info, p.12 and 13 dd.15 August 2012. No doubt many more taxi mags gave details.
